Splotti is a photo doodle diary. This policy explains what happens to your data. The short version: we do not collect it.

What stays on your device

Your doodles, original photos, notes and settings are stored only on your iPhone (and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account under your Apple Account, which we cannot access). You can export everything as a ZIP file or delete everything from Settings at any time.

What leaves your device, and why

When you make a doodle, the cropped photo (up to 1024×1024 pixels, with all metadata such as location removed) is sent over an encrypted connection to our server so that an AI image model can redraw it in Splotti's crayon style. The photo is held in memory only for the duration of that request and is not stored, logged or used to train any model. The image model is provided by fal.ai (United States), which processes the image on our behalf under instructions not to retain it; see fal.ai's privacy policy for their practices. We may switch to Google's Gemini image models for the same purpose under the same terms.

To protect the service from abuse, your device proves it is a genuine iPhone using Apple's App Attest or DeviceCheck. This sends Apple-generated tokens to our server; they do not identify you personally. If you subscribe to Splotti Pro, your device sends a signed receipt of the subscription so that the server can allow more doodles; it contains no name, email or payment details.

What we do not do

• No account, no sign-in, no email address.
• No analytics or advertising SDKs, no tracking across apps or websites.
• No sale or sharing of personal data.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment information. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.

Children

Splotti is rated 4+ and is often used to keep a diary of children. Photos of children are processed exactly as described above: drawn and discarded. Splotti does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Content rules

You may only upload photos you have the right to use. Photos that violate the image provider's safety policy are refused and not drawn.

Your rights

Because nothing is stored on our side, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on request; your data is yours and lives on your device. Questions: aavarija@gmail.com.
